Prayer Letter

May 27^th 2009

Here are our prayer requests for this month.

Thanks for praying for my recent trip to Latvia and Ukraine. It was great to be in Riga to see the new building which our church is renting now. This has happened because of the economic crisis and now some buildings are more affordable. Please pray for Pastor Nicolai and his wife Stella who are leading 2 churches there. They are very busy and carrying a lot of the burden and need mature leadership who can help them.

Please pray for our churches in Ukraine as the economic crisis has deeply affected the country. Many people have to go back to living on basics with their gardens, chickens, and raising rabbits to eat. The country's economy has contracted 28% in the last year which is a staggering figure. It is a time however when people are re-looking at their values and realizing that the materialism of the last decade has not brought them what they hoped for. Pray for pastors for great wisdom in teaching the people how to live through these troubling days for the country.

Please pray for my upcoming 2 week trip to Ukraine for June 12th to 25th. WE have 2 major conferences planned, pastors days, and much counselling with some of our pastors who I haven't seen a lot of recently. I am very much looking forward to the personal time I get with our leaders there. These are times of great encouragement and discipleship for young leaders.
